There, it is HAIR!

Wild Woman now has her full head of hair!  All brushed, shaped and trimmed, right out of the beauty parlor!
I also used the Soie Chenille a Broder by Au ver a Soie and couched it in place, and pulling it through to the back and tracking it,  for the eyeglass holder (whatever that is called). I then moved on to start the earrings.  I did the top part of the earrings by stitching a seed bead in the center of the design and then attaching the leopard square sequins by Sundance with another seed bead on top, so they will stand away a bit.  I then attached a rectangular blue bead, a rectangular red bead,  a red round bead with three indentations and moved down to the two red bugle beads.  The red and blue beads are from the Bead Soup Starter packages I talked about in an earlier post.  I have a few more beads to finish off the earrings and I am also adding some Kreinik to the vertical lines between the beads yet

More Hair

All of the top and left side of her hair is stitched.  I hope you can see the second lighter color on the left.  I just have a few wisps of bangs and down the right side to stitch!  Isn't it mahvelous????

Hair UPDATED

I started on the Hair!  I had planned on doing turkey work in the two colors for her hair but I also wanted to use the purple Fancy Fur.  Not a good idea....too much fiber to manage for me.  I did several test stitches and they just looked awful, so I switched up to encroaching Gobelins and it is better.  I have gingerly brushed some of it so you can see the effect but not too heavy yet as I still have lots of stitches to put in around what is there and don't want to cause myself a nightmare.

Fully dressed

I finished the other side of the dress with the Painter's thread and did forget to mention yesterday that I did the Medieval Mosaic stitch using a laying tool to keep the ribbon and filament flat. 

We visited downtown Grand Rapids today for the Festival of the Arts.  Grand Rapids has been on the news a bit and there was is a youtube video done to American Pie.  We saw a lot of the places in the video today and of course, my favorite little people enjoyed the day with some shaved ice cream and wagon rides!

Doing the dress

I stitched the left side of Wild Woman's dress tonight.  I am doing the Medieval Mosaic stitch using Painter's Thread color 122 Marianne.  This is ribbon floss Shimmer which is overdyed and then has a stand of blending filament woven in.  Both the overdyed and shimmer are a great look for her!  I wanted some glitz but less of a pattern than the designer painted due to the other interest points in the piece.

Don't call the window washer!

The windows are all in and I think the shine is just fine on them both.  Tomorrow I will start her dress.

Frame and panes

I worked on the frame more today and just have a little bit of that left.  I also filled in several more panes.  I expect to finish the window tomorrow!  While stitching today, I have been working out the earrings in my mind....and chuckling a great deal!
