One full ray

I added the #4 Kreinik 002J first and it is hard to see.  Then I did all of the rest of pattern stitches to the end of the first ray.  It will have beads and be outlined later on.

Christmas Ornaments

I finished the last three of these.  This chart is actually called Miss June, but I turned them into Christmas ornaments instead.  The binding stitch is done on the edges.  I then made twisted cord for the hangers and the back is white felt on each of them.

What the heck?

Hubby has a red Ford Mustang convertible.  He wears driving glasses and this is a croakie for those glasses.  I measured the store bought holder and am going to stitch him a new one as a surprise!

Starting to fil in

I made a lot of progress on the outline stitches.  Just a few more hours and the face will be filled in.

The color changes are subtle but they are there.  What a bright orange face this will be!

The finishing

I finally managed to mail the Holly Ornament to Marsye Wray and it came back in less than two weeks!  It has a white satin flat back finish with the white edging and a pale blue bow.  How cute!

The face

Day into Night instructions start with the sun design and the center of the face.  The eyes, nose and lips are tent stitch, the eyes and brows are outline stitch and then the whites of the eyes are tent.  The orange ray out from the top of the nose is outline stitch.  I will be filling the entire center of the face with outline stitches.

Circe'

Cice' is by Leigh Designs.  She and her 7 sisters are part of the Witchy Women series introduced at the Dallas show.  Check out all of these at Leigh's website.   I stitched and wrote the stitch guide for this one.  Jane Woods, Carolyn Taggart, Sharon Quick and Susie Vallerie each also stitched one and have guides for them as well.  Each design is 8 x 14 on 18 count gold flecked canvas.  They are all truly amazing!

Here is the website:

Day Into Night

Day into Night is a counted canvas design by Judy Souliotis. This has been on the worktable for a while, waiting for me to get to it.  I have put it on the stretcher bars and laid out all the threads.
I bought this as a kit and I am not sure there are any more out there as Judy passed away a while back.  It is two canvas pieces, one white and one black and each is a 10 x 14 cut of  Congress cloth with the line drawn patterns on them.

Embellished!

I added the green sequins and beads in the pink background.  Green beads are added to both of the green bands and down the center of the tree trunk.  I found cute letter beads so the name is on the piece.  The A is an upside down heart.  This one is ready for framing.

All the stitching

The stitching is all done.  I filled the hearts in the white bands with Neon Rays and then the centers are Fyre Werks.  I changed the heart band row by changing the spacing of the hearts.  The hearts are splendor and the red is Neon Rays.

The red one

The red one is stitched!  I continued with the white pearl beads and buttons as that is what I had in the stash. Time to take the piece off the bars and start the edges.

Just background

I am working down the left side of Seasons of Love.  Lots of basket weave going on.

Much better!

I have finished the right side with the white sunbursts and the pink background, down to the bottom.  I am leaving the pink swirls and green dots until I get all of the background done.

Miss June in silver

Miss June in silver in finished.  I did the heart in Neon Rays +202, I did the silver band in #8 Kreinik 001HL, the rays are both Kreinik and Neon Rays +, the large cross stitches between the pearls is Elegance 891 and added the pearl beads and the pearl star for the center of the heart.  Pondering the color for the next one!

Miss June in silver

I am changing this one to silver threads.  The white is very pretty, but very bridesy!  LOL
