Angelika is framed!

I have Angelika back from the framer! Frame is a gold wood with some red highlights and the larger mat is actually black...Hard to get a good photo but you can get the idea. Canvas by Purple Palm. Stitch guide by me!

Angelika is Finished!

I have finished this design!  I added all the designs on the dress and her pin.  Having lost power for a couple of days due to a storm, it was great to be able to get back to stitching!

Adding gold and black

I am adding in the black and gold designs.  Most of the smaller ones are done!

Feathered!

I finished the feathers and also the bottom right corner of the dress.  Next up are the gold curliques and the designs on the yellow areas.

Half the Feathers

I am calling this half of the feathers stitched!  The spines will recede a lot when they are brushed over but for now they seem to jump out at ya!

More of the same

It is difficult to see but I have added in a lot of the gold spines and continued on with feathers.  I added another bead at the base of the hat too.  Missed it on the first go.

Progress

Adding more feathers and a few of the black spines.  This is a little more slow going due to all the detail and I will start adding the gold spines next.  Notice I have not brushed any of the feathers yet so I can see the spine lines.

Here and there

The dress is almost done,  I have stitched one set of curliques on the hat, added thebeads at the back base of the hat and started feathers.

And here is where I ran out of thread!  Setting this aside and going to stand by the mailbox!

Changing....

Normally, this stitch is worked across in rows, but I changed today and worked one section down to the bottom!  The end is in sight!

The moon!

I made it down past the moon shaped pin on her dress!

Not quite...

Not quite half way done.  Mostly working with just the two colors except at the very right.

I am working away, back and forth across the canvas.  Now you can see all the needles I am

working with as I go!

I have started on the dress!  Lots more sparkle here too!

I finished all of the rest of the yellow and gold areas so the background is complete.

Left side

I am working on the left side gold and yellow areas.  At first I though it was more feathers, but decided that would be over the top, so I am doing it as a background.

Moving on

I finished her face, neck and lips!  Moving on!
