The finishing touches

I stitched the holly wreath and berries and then added the bow on the wreath.  The stocking is now done and I am off to finish up writing the stitch guide!

And that is the end of that!

All of the plaid is now stitched!  Sorry for the shadows but it is storming big time here and not great lighting right now!

A prince of a stag

Isn't he just a stately dude?  He is all stitched.  Just the holly wreath and a few more green squares to go!

Six down

Finished six of the 15 boxes today....9 to go!  Woohoo!

Turning the heel

It is time to get back to the green at the bottom of the stocking.....While I love working on the stag, I still need to get a lot more of the green done at the bottom.  I turned the corner of the heel and have about 15 squares yet to do.....

A bit more

I finished the front leg, under belly and started down the back and the tail...another day or two and he will be stitched.

Half of it

I got about half of the back done and will keep working across the rest of the front leg and belly next.

Well, duh

Spring is a busy time of year, and it apparently got me yesterday!  I was running wide open and forgot to post the photo of my progress!  I have both of the front legs done and have started moving across the back....

Down the neck

I have worked under the chin and down the neck of the stag.

It is time

It is time to start on the Stag!  I have finished his antlers and head.  No, the bottom green is not done yet, but
I just had to get started on another color for a little while!

Five more

I filled in the five boxes in the center of the row near the frame.  Just a few more to go!

Green

I stitched a few boxes on the left and then did a few more on the right.  Overall, not that much green left to go!

And that is it!

I went ahead and finished all of the red lines!  Woohoo!

Just Red

I worked from right to left today, only filling in the red stripes of the plaid.

So..................

I finished the rest of the frame across the bottom, so the the background and frame are done.  Only the stag to start working in that area.  I also started the toe of the plaid and have a bit of the green filled in.

At the heel

I finished all of the white in the corner of the interior of the frame.  So all of the background area of the picture frame is completed.  I did a few more rows of the green in the plaid so I am down to the heel area.  I also started across the bottom of the picture frame!  Whew!

Almost there!

I finished all of the white around the stag and all of the pink areas. I was able to finish all but a tiny bit of the white ground as well.  That will be where I start tomorrow.

Pink and white

I am back to stitching after all the festivities!  It was a warm and sunny day here yesterday and everyone
had a great time!  I am working on the ground below the stag and have about half of it done.

Moving down

I added more green and red plaid, finished the curve of the frame and started across the bottom.  I filled in around the stag's tail and under his leg a little.  Last, I did the 3 rows of basketweave in white down to the frame.
