Summer and Autumn Reflections by Loretta Spears, all framed.

Autumn Reflections done!

I added the borders by laying in a double strand of Kreinik, added diamond shapes in the overdyed and then smaller ones in Marlitt.  I now have Winter, Summer and Fall all done.  Spring Reflections will be appearing sometime in the future.

Corners!

The four outside corners are all done!  Lots of shading and they are wonderful!  Just the outside borders left to go!

Lots more leaves

I am making progress....five different color blends so far....hope to finish the leaves tomorrow!

Growing

The corners are slowly filling in.  Each set of leaves around the previous row is a different set of two strands of floss.

Starting corners

 

Each of the four corners is worked from the outside in.  Each row is a different combination of floss so far.

The last rectangle

The last rectangle of leaf patterns took a lot longer.  There are 9 different thread combination of two strands that are all tied down with Kreinik.  Whew!

Two more designs

I filled in two more patterns.  Both are worked with floss, the overdyed and more Kreinik.  Just one more pattern to go before I start the rest of the outside.

3 squares

This is coming right along!  I did the very center square in Marlitt, Kreinik and beads,  The two lower squares on done with the overdyed, Kreinik and beads.

Darning

The two side triangles are filled in with Marlitt in a darning pattern....lots of sheen!

The rest

Lesson one is all done.  I finished all of E by working in the overdyed and 3 floss colors.  I added Kreinik to the base of each of the leaf patterns.  I added the beads to section A and C.  I also removed A & C from the other side.

C & D

Pattern C and D are both finished....more of the floss and a bit of Kreinik here and there.  I realized I had assumed that both sides would be the same....not so!  I will take the other side pattern stitches out tomorrow before I start on E.

Pattern A is filled in with the overdyed floss and then divided by lines of Kreinik

Making a grid

I have started making a grid using two ply of Needle Necessities color 121.  Yes, I bought the threads a while ago so I have one of the original skeins!

Autumn Reflections

Time to pull something from the stash pile!  Autumn Reflections is Mystery #5 from Loretta Spears.  I have already worked Spring and Winter Reflections.  I want all four done to hang in a grouping.  I am going off to put the 10 x 12 cut of Congress cloth on the stretcher bars!
