First Ornament finish

I have finished the first ornament for this year.  Ornament design by Danae, 251-BA.  I stitched the red areas in Silk Lame Braid Petite.  The stars, moon and cap gold are also Silk Lame Braid Petite in gold.  I then added gold beads for the dots on the painted canvas.  All stitches are Nobuko.

Star Waffle ornament

I started this 1.75 square ornament by using Sparkle Braid in the lavender/purple.  I did a border in tent stitch using Flair and the skip tent stitch in more Sparkle Braid. I am working a bunch of little designs on some 18 count to create ornaments later.  I am just making them up as I go along!  LOL

Blue Mistake

This is a 1.75 square design on 18 count that I stitched.  The center is the Mistake stitch worked in 3 shades of Neon Rays.  I then used Flair to do the tent stitch all around the outside.  Next I put Smyrna Crosses in around the outside edge using Sparkle Braid.  Last, I did a Ray stitch in the corners using Silk Lame Braid Petite in white and silver.  I will finish it into an ornament!

Getting Organized

I sat down and pulled threads for the ornaments I picked up at Peacock Alley tonight. I have several fibers from the stash, but am picking up a couple of colors that I wanted for all but one of them. These will be several smaller projects over the next couple of months. I figure each of the ornaments will take a few days to stitch.
I also worked on the next project you will see. However, the battery needed charging on the camera so I don't have a photo for you. I have started a new line drawn canvas my mom did for me. It is an interpretation she used to paint, and I will post a photo for you tomorrow.

New Projects

We went to visit my family in Michigan last week. Of course I had to visit the LNS while there to get a couple of skeins of floss to finish a project. My sister, her husband, and my niece all came inside and had a ball looking around while I picked up my two skeins of floss. They found a rug I could stitch, and lots of other goodies! LOL So, instead I convinced them I would be happy to stitch them small ornaments! Niece Sara will get the sheep box, Sister Karen will get the Jody Holly design ornament, Great Niece Kailyn will get the pink princess purse, and Great Nephew Peyton will get the penguin stocking. These will be lots of fun!
