Boxes

I worked on Stitches in Stirling at stitch group and have all the inside boxes completed. This now measures 3 x 3 inches. The camera is picking up the silver flecks in the canvas as well. Again, so far this is all Kreinik fiber and the inner boxes are stitched in #12.

This is starting to resemble enamel jewelry, those pieces with lines of metallic and inlay. Very neat!

The term is "cloissone'" Faberge' used it with great effect on the boxes and eggs. The Zunis of New Mexico also did another version, but called "inlay" using turquoise inlayed into the silver. I'll enjoy watching this develop!
