Let the beading begin!

I started with off white beads and a single strand of Kreinik cord in the 205C and placed the beads in the Modified Scotch stitches in the center. Then using the same fiber, which I will do throughout the piece, I started placing gold beads but did not finish the entire diameter.

Beads, beautiful beads! Wish they didn't take so long to attach because they really add a lot to a piece.

Stitch faster, Pat. We all want this finished and framed before Christmas so we can take turns displaying it for Christmas.

DIBS!

In my haste to beat out Judy and your other readers, I forgot to ask. Is it hard to get the Kreinik cord through the bead centers?

No, the cord slips right through the beads just fine. In fact, it is easier to thread the beading needle as it is a little stiffer as well.

Answering Jane: The Kreinik cord comes in several weights - I even have it in the blending filament size and #4 braid, as well as the #12.
