Down the side and

I finished down the left side in the grass and have worked almost to the center.  In addition I changed the colors called for in the yellow green area but am continuing with the same stitch.

Grass

I started working on the grass on the left side and am down almost to the top of the pumpkin.  I am working a different stitch than the guide called for and am using only two strands of the floss.  I also stitched the path to the house.

And there is a moon!

I have finished the sky and area by the moon over to the top of the left witch's hat.
I then moved over to the right and did the trees and the sky is about half way done to the middle witch.

Some trees

I am still working on the sky and am over to the first witch hat!  Then I did the little house and trees in Trebizond.  The windows and doors are done in Kreinik.  I changed the stitches for the house to Brick over two.  The roof is vertical and the house is horizontal.  I also changed the thread on the windows and door.  I am going to wait and do the path until I have stitched the grass for easier compensation through it.

Moving right along

I finished up the darker blue on the left side and then moved over and worked more on the light blue on the right side.

Sky

I have started the sky areas.  I have added Accentuate in to the thread that is being used as well as changing the stitch to skip tent.  The darker area has 3 strands of floss with the Accentuate and the light blue is 1 strand of floss with Accentuate.
Note:  I made a note in the stitch guide.  The sky areas should have been worked before the trees were put in,  This would have made it easier to stitch the pattern.  Instead, I stitch for a while and complete a section.  Then I have to turn the canvas over and count on the back to determine where the next starting point is.  Slow go!
It will be better in the center but for now, I am working it down this right section,

Right side tree

I have started the tree on the right side.....more light areas in this one from the moon shining on it!

A Gnarly Tree

The tree on the left is done.  I changed to Impressions threads and a Treenway silk to create the tree on the left instead of using what the guide called for.  I will get started on the tree on the right.

Another border and starting trees

First I filled in the black with #16 Kreinik in diagonal stitches that slant in the same direction as the scotch stitches.  Then I started packed stem stitches for the trees.  The guide calls for Rainbow Linen and I switched to 3 shades of Impressions and one of Treenway silks.  So far, I have only put in color 20 for the black in the sky.

Below is an overall shot of the design.

Left Border

So I am working down the left border.  The right border was Scotch stitches so I reversed the stitch for the left border.  First change made to the guide.  I am going to be making some throughout the canvas and am making notes in my guide too.

Yay!

I spent extra time today and finished the beading across the bottom....I did have some thread left!

Another tube

Beading this section required opening the second tube of Sundance beads....and I will probably use the entire 55 yard spool of beading thread before I get to the end....we shall see!

Burn

And Burn is beaded and a start on the word and.....seems I beaded a little faster today...I should be after this much beading!!

More beads, more border

Progress across the beading almost to the middle and the right border is almost to the bottom!

Friday, April 3, 2020

A side border

I beaded more of the words across the top and worked more down the right side border.  The gold is Fyre Werks continuing in scotch stitches.

Thursday, April 2, 2020

Other areas

So I finished the line across the bottom of the bottom band with the Silk Lame Braid 18.  Then  I started beading the words.  All these words are beaded with Sundance size 15 beads.  this is going to take a while!  Then I started down the right side with the blue squares using Vineyard Silk in a scotch stitch, of course!

Wednesday, April 1, 2020

Oh no!

And here is where I ran out of the Vineyard Silk for the background behind the words.  I called the shop where I got the first skein and luckily she had another one of this dye lot and is mailing it to me!
Whew!

So,

I finished the gold band under the top border and added the three bats and the single spider with Kreinik #16, and his web line on the bottom right.
