Darning

The two side triangles are filled in with Marlitt in a darning pattern....lots of sheen!

Not a huge fan of Marlitt, either, but I like love this piece! My favorite part are those side sections. Even though the stitching there isn't technically a textured stitch, the whole arrangement adds a nice textural look. Your stitching is, of course, so pristine and pretty!

Marlitt behaves itself if you dampen your strands, let them dry and use a laying tool. The extra sheen is fabulous. Loretta always has great stitch combinations!
