The bath

I started working on the actual bath itself.  I am doing the Flemish Bond stitch with four stands of Splendor to match the paint.  I wanted this to be a textured concrete befitting his highness in the midst of the cold winter day and thus decided on the Flemish Bond stitch.  He will still remain the focal point due to his color, but will be an interest in the piece.

It's an interesting stitch that will add to the concrete bath nicely. Great choice!

That's a lovely textured stitch. Very effective.

Love what you have done so far. Any ideas on the fluttering wings? I wonder if something like couched Memory Thread would work or maybe you would want it to look almost translucent. Love Charley Harper canvas designs and I have a few myself in the stash!
