Back to a square

I started tonight by finishing out the square with more of the Perle Cotton sprats heads in all four corners. This completed Lesson 1.
I then started Lesson 2 by using the #4 Fine Braid and worked Modified Rhodes stitches around the outside of the square. I got a little more than half way around.
I also reshot the picture of the Kimono from last night and reposted it. The black background is difficult to get the images to come up in the true color, but I did get a better shot and when you enlarge it, you can see the actual stitch details.

Hi Pat,

Thanks for posting a new photo of the kimono as it's much easier to see. :-)

I'm enjoying watching your progress on all of your projects. Are you enjoying using a stitching rotation?

How's the cupcake coming along?

The black kimono photo is much clearer. Thank you very much! I bet it is lovely in person.

The modified Rhodes stitches on the square look like wheat sheaf stitches! This one is interesting but also pretty monochromatic. The cupcake is pinks.

Is this your monochromatic period, Pat? LOL

Yes, the rotation does seem to be working out for me.....even if each one is all the same color! LOL

it amazes me the patience you have...most of the projects you do would make me bonkers...but the your work area and set up looks so tidy and organized that you could preform heart surgery...my work area studio/office always seem to be in flux...chaos...and depending on the work in progress..sometimes it looks like a storm went by...
your stitching is always perfect ...I love it...

Gail,
LOL!
Artists don't have to have neat work areas....I have to keep mine neat so I can find anything! Happy stitching!
