Is it a bumblebee?

Yes, his little head, complete with little blue bead eyes, and pink and black body are the start of a bumblebee! He is split stitch around his head and first band of his body. Then, we did the padded satin stitch on both parts. Next I added the eyes. Then, bullion stitches for his body. All of these were done with one strand of DMC floss.
He will get wings in the next lesson--yes, I peeked!

That is one awesome bug. You really have a lot of patience - what an heirloom this will be!! Thanks, again, for showing us the work in progress. It's fascinating.

I love the silly little eyes. He's a cutie and will be even better with wings. This is fun to watch, Pat.

Fuzzy Wuzzy is precious even without benefit of wings. I enjoy watching your progress, thanks for the great pictures.
