Vintage Bag for a wedding

A close girlfriend is soon to be mother-of-the-groom--October, actually. So, for part of her birthday present, I wanted to embellish one of my vintage handbags for her. She found a great dress earlier this year, and just recently found some great shoes as well. The dress is a gold brocade. While she was on vacation, earlier this year, I went by and took pictures. Her husband even volunteered to model it for me! LOL Anyway, when she got back from her cruise, she kept changing her mind about the shoe color. I needed to know that to put in the right color of darker bugle beads! Today, I gave her the bag and she is thrilled! I used a piece of crushed velvet to line the inside, and glued some sheer and ivory roses to the inside as a special accent.
Happy wedding too, Miss Linda!

I second the dress modeling, although without photos we wouldn't have believed it. Still, some things a Wife doesn't need to know.

This is a lovely surprise, Pat, and very nice of you to fix up. It looks great! Happy wedding to all!

I'm still laughing about the husband volunteering to model the dress! What a hoot!!!
