Step one of Lesson 3 is to fill in the right side of the piece with two strands of white Marlitt, working the Horizontal Milanese stitch. This is a great deal of light play in a pretty quick stitched area.
Yes, there is still lots more to come!

That is just sooo pretty. Isn't it wonderful how the play of light on the surface of the fibers adds yet another dimension!?
When I clicked on the photo to see it upclose, I was surprised to see all those beautiful stitches. I can't wait to see this all done.
Great choice of project, as always.

Interesting....
Do you think all that white lightens up the piece as a whole? It seems more white and less pastel blue to me now.
Jane, squinting and wondering how soon after Pat finishes this I can borrow it to drool over

Hi Pat,
Very pretty!

I just found your blog and I'll be back to read from the beginning! You've done some beautiful stitching. This piece is just gorgeous. Would you tell me who this design is by and where I might find it?
So, you showed Betsie on your b'day! I got to highlight Friday's piece and enjoyed the richness of the piece. I also took the liberty of checking on mom's paintings of Easter-so cute :).
Congrats on the blog award!!
