I stitched the collar in Turkey work using Burmilana. I have started trimming the collar but will finish it when I take the canvas off the bars. It is easier to control the shape that way for me.
It takes a long time to create heirlooms. Photos and information on this blog are not free to be pinned, copied, or transferred without my permission. Please be cyber savvy and ask before taking.

Starting the Jacket
I have started the jacket. I switched colors as I felt this is a gentleman snowman and pink is more feminine. I am using 4 strands of three shades of Mandarin Floss in a modified Scotch Checker pattern to fill the squares.

A Face and Hat
In between standing by the mailbox waiting for the Splendor I stitched his hat with Trebizond in a closed darning pattern and added those snowflakes. Then I stitched his face in Medeival Mosaic using Neon Rays+. I beaded his eyes and mouth using size 11 beads. I padded and overstitched his nose with Threadworx overdyed Kreinik!

And then....
I got this far and ran out of Splendor! So I did little cross stitches with Silk Lame Braid Petite for the snowflakes.
