I started the petals on the tropical flowers using Silk Lame Braid petite...just a little more sparkle for the piece!

The Fin

Claudette has a fin!  I worked this in two of the Trebizond colors in a Byzantine stitch.

Details

The scales are done, the lips and eye, and I added the blue and gold memory wire on the purple bands.  On to the fin!

The eye and the lips are done!  Claudette is a bit on the sassy side with those pouty lips!

Back at it

I have almost all of the scales done!  Just a bit more in the last orange color and the scales will be finished.  I have not been able to stitch as much as usual but am pleased with the progress so far. 

Lots of scales

I am making great progress on the fish scales and have completed the top and second  yellow band, both of the pink bands and started the center yellow by the eye.  Oh, you noticed you can still see the blue and yellow lines in the pink bands?  I will get to them as this is all going very quickly!

Starting the fish

I started the fish and am using the Trebizond, off the spool, to create the Hungarian stitches to look like scales.  This goes a lot quicker than the basketweave and is adding the shine that she needs!
