Snowy Ornament by Ruth Schmuff

Just finished adding the last beads to Snowy Ornament by Ruth Schmuff.  This had been in my stash for way too long.  In the finishing pile now!

 

And I finished!

And the Wicked Fairy is all beaded!

 

The third color

I have made it to the bottom third and am adding the third color.

 

Starting the cape

I am beading the cape....black and purple beads in brick stitch beading.

 

Adding beads

I stitched her face and hands using white, gray and black Capri.  Then I added purple and red Kreinik to highlight her eyes and lips.  I started beading her hood and the top of her cape!

 

Chartreuse Background.

 I followed the stitch guide for the stitch choices on the background but substituted threads from my stash.

 

Wicked Fairy

Thanksgiving is over already.....the food!  The Family!  Everyone had a great day and we are still eating the leftovers!  But, it is time to get back to some stitching.  This is Wicked Fairy by Shelly Tribbey, H009.  She has a stitch guide but I will be making my own modificaitons...as always.  Let's get this on the stretcher bars!

I used Silk Lame' Braid in chain stitches to create the word.  One more thing to do!

 

The background

Got some stitching time and I finished the background!

The witch canvas is now in its' coffin!  Finishing by Stitcher's Garden!  And we love it.

It is now sitting amongst the rest of the Halloween display!

 I am using Silk Lame Braid in two shades to fill the background in Woven Stitch.

My next project is Coffee by Pewter & Pine, #15.  This round is on 13 count and I will be making this into a finished round to hang by the coffee machine in the kitchen.  The machine and I are best friends!  I will pull some threads and I have an idea for the colored dots already!

This is Dorset Buttons by Ruth Dilts framed.  The top  mat is white, not beige and the inner mat and frame are silver.

 

Snowflake

I have been working on this piece for weeks!  It is all half cross stitches spelling the word Snow in several directions.  Then, hundreds of beads were added.  The Snowflake design is by M designs.  It is stitched on a 13 square of 32 count gray overdyed fabric.

I received a box of finishing by Cindy McKown!  I am always thrilled to see this package arrive in the mail and Cindy never disappoints.  This is Putrid Pumpkin by Kirk & Bradley and it will go with the other two Halloween bottles she has finished for me.

 

Oops

I forgot to post the finished photo of Santa by Joy Juarez.  The beard is stitched with two strands of four colors of Wisper in random long and short stitches and then brushed with a Bunka brush--lightly by the way!  I will be getting this one framed along with the Santa Kiss with baby.

More stitching time and the Holly Berries are done.  I also have started one eyebrow.

Finally back to some stitching time!  I added all the pearls for the snow flakes--the big ones and the scattered ones.

The hat and  his coat at the bottom is done.  time to get out some beads before I do the beard.

I have started Santa's hat and am using Petite Very Velvet.  Finally a couple of days in a row with some stitching time!

 

The face

Santa has a face!  His face is worked in shades of Splendor!

I filled in the holly leaves using Boucle in four shades.

 

Background

I started with the background.  I am using 4 shades of Splendor in T-stitch.

I just put this Joy Juarez Santa on the stretcher bars, JJ2037.

My Happy Fourth of July design!  Enjoy everyone and be safe!

All the fur is stitched and needs a little more brushing.  The snow is also done and I added little pompoms for the snow.

And the cane is finished!

 

Chewing away

So I started stitching the chewed area of the cane!  Using more Neon Rays and basketweave for this area.

I started stitching on the candy cane that Mr. Beaver is enjoying!

The blue background is finished except for the snowflakes which I will add in later.  Now to decide what to work on next!
