Two more hours

I got in two more hours of background today.  Getting there!

Calling it half

The right side background is done from top to bottom. 

Starting with.

I am starting with the background on the Magnolias.  Black on black for a while!

Magnolias

I am going to start the Magnolias by Kirk and Hamilton, design KH135, that is 14 inches square on 14 count.  This is going to have a lot of bling in those posies!

Pieces of Africa Finished

I completed all of the background darning stitches today!  This one is done!  I am going to check the UFO pile and decide if I want to finish another piece or start a new one!

Pieces of Africa returns

I am working on UFO's!  I last worked on this in June!  I have finished all the boxes, backstitched around them and am now working on the darning pattern behind the boxes.

Finished!

Joy is finished and ready to go in the box top.  I added another row of Entice around the outside of the medallion.  Then the outside edge is stitched with Silk Lame Braid.  The rays are Nordic Gold in silver.  Then Mill Hill beads in between the diamond shapes on the edge and one in the center! 

Joy to the World!

I have started another one of the box tops from Jean HIlton's Christmas Ornaments.  Joy to the World is from book two and was all done in red and white floss.  I have switched it to silver and white.  So far I have used Silk Lame Braid, Kreinik ribbon, and Entice.

The Flower Cart

I have finished the stitch guide for The Flower Cart, design 102 by Debbie Mumm for Melissa Shirley designs.  This custom guide was also kitted and included threads,beads and of course suggested stitches.

This kitted custom stitch guide is for Holly with Berries by Raymond Crawford.  The stitcher is going to put this in a box top.

The Floral Egg with Sheep is by Brenda Stofft and is a kitted custom stitch guide.  This is so cute!

I am writing custom  stitch guides for a bit.  This one is Be Mine and the canvas is by Denise.  This one is going out kitted in the colors the stitcher requested.

Stitch Winter

I received this great book--Stitch Winter for my birthday.  I have had a chance to go through and enjoy all of the great ideas for "winter" stitching.  The book is distributed by Little Shoppe Canvas Company and created by Stacey Tombros....Your shop can get it for you!

Finshed!

I beaded all of the background vee shapes and this one is ready to mail!  I am finishing up the stitch guide and it will be available shortly.

Finished the Eye

The eye of the feather is all beaded! 

More than half!

At one point there were nine threaded needles as I worked down the beading.

Beading and Spaghetti

I am going to bead the entire eye of the Peacock feather.  They colors change often so I have several threaded needles going at once.

Final Box

The final left corner box is done.  On to the center eye of the feather.

The bottom center band is almost all done....just a bit on the bottom left to go.

The bottom right corner boxes are done!

All the barbs

I finished the rest of the tips so all of the barbs on the feather are done.

Bottom borders

I have started the bottom border.   The lines across the top of the two boxes are done as are the

first set of boxes on the right.

I have started the green tips of the barbs.

The Background!

I finished all of the background!  I am going to work on all the feather barbs next!
