More than half

I figure I am now more than half way through the flower!   This is going pretty quickly!

More petals

Worked a lot more petals today and all of the sequins and beads are in place on all the petals.

Flower Center

All done!  I finished up the entire beaded center.  I am going to work more background sequins and bead and then resume stitching petals next.

Beading away

It is going to snow today!  It has been such a balmy December in Michigan, but snow is on the way and maybe some freezing rain too.  I decided to stay inside!  I am beading the center of the flower and making great progress!  About half done!

The Flower center

 I did a bit more on the petals on the left and added more sequins and beads to a lot more of the other petals. The center of the flower was calling out and I started beading the center.....it will all be beads and crystals.

The top left portion of the pointsettia is stitched!  I notice more sequins show up in this photo.

I am working on the flower petals!  3 colors for the petals, two for the sequins and beads.

Busy, Busy!

I can certainly tell it is Holiday Season!  Things are really busy at my house as  I am sure they are at yours!  I am stitching a little bit but not much to show you right now.  I did finish this custom stitch guide for a gal and it is available if you are looking for one.  Tombstone Tish is by Leigh Designs and is  number 5015.    Details are on the tab for guides above.

Meanwhile, I am off to cook and clean and wrap presents again!  Back soon with an update on the stocking!

Starting the petals

The top half zig zags are done.  The top set of berries are done, and I have started working on the poinsettia petals.  I had one stitch in mind that did not work so I did the ripit stitch and have restarted!

Down to the flower

The zig zags are done down to the top of the flower and I added a couple more berries.

Another vine

I have added more rows of zig zags in black and white and the next vine is all stitched.

Zigging & Zagging

I am working down the body of the stocking and stitching in the zigs and the zags!  All the berries and vines are done in the top left of the stocking too.

The cuff

The cuff is finished!  I added the first row of the black zig zag pattern as well.

More berries

I worked on the cuff some more and then added a lot more berries and vines.

Hat Trick is by Blue Moon designs and I just finished writing this stitch guide.

A few more rows of silver and some "centers" for the berries!

Adding in

So a few more background rows and then I have added some of the stems and two berries!

I am working on the cuff which will take a while, but I make progress everyday!  This area is 3 x 9 inches so it will take a couple of days!

From the top down

As with most stockings, I will be working this from the top down.  I have started at the cuff and worked the green triangles and am putting in the background as well.

Green Poinsettia Stocking

 Next going on the bars is Green Poinsettia Stocking by Machelle Somerville!  This is a 10.5 by 19.5 stocking on 14 count.   It is available in your shop now.  I will be writing a guide as I go and I have pulled all the threads too!

The left side is done

The left side of the water is done!  This piece is finished!

I am stitching away on the left side....the top maybe one third is done.

I am stitching the second layer of the water on the right side.

All of the branches on the tree are done!

Starting the water

I am starting the water and have laid in the base thread on both sides!  I still have a little bit of the last branch to do, but wanted to get this going too!

I completed another branch, more on the trunk and only one to go!

Moving along

Limb 5 is done, limb 6 is started and there is more done on the trunk!

In the center

I am working on the branch 4 and 5 in the center and have worked part way down the trunk as well.

I finished limb number 3 so I am half way done with them

Almost all of limb two is done!

I have the bottom lower left limb complete and am working on the second one.

The Tree!

I started the tree and am adding the "frost" as I go!

Made it!

A few more rows down the right side.  I am hoping one or two more days on background and it will be done.

I have made it across another row and then concentrated on the row on the right side.  Almost down to the bottom!

Purple

Today is a center shot showing I have started adding purple!  Love it!

Another one across

Today's progress shows another row finished across to the right side....moving into another color!

All the way across

 I have added more rows of the background and finished the moon.  I took 3 photos

 so you can see the entire piece, up close, from left to right.

Here and there

I started row 4 of the background and worked over to the moon.  I have quite a bit of the moon stitched in!

 Row 3 is worked all the way across!
