Working along

I have worked all four borders down to the arm on the left.  I then moved up and added a lot more feathers!

Feathers

Time to start on some feathers!  Three different shades of thread to work them.  I am leaving all the stars and sprays til later.

Oh, Wow!

Santa and friends were very kind this year!  Stumpwork Butterflies & Moths by Jane Nicholas, Stitches a' la Carte by Lynda Richardson, Stitches, Volume Three by Ruth Schmuff, a Sudberry box with a stitched design along with a coaster, and finally a Puffin and Company Magnet.  A gift certificate for supplies was also included.  Who knew I was this good all year?

Just the leg

I finished the leg today.  Stitching at this time of year is sporadic at best!  I thought I had everything all done and ready to go, but there are always last minute things that pop up!  I am starting the feathers next and hope to get some time yet this week to do some stitching!

Getting there

I finished the right arm, started down the leg and put in more of the left side border.....feathers will be coming soon!

And more

  More basketweave so the arm on your left is stitched, and the one on the right is started.  I also worked on borders down the left side today.

Skin and...........

I worked across the chest and started down the arm today.  I also worked down the right hand borders some more.

Stitching again!

I took time out to get some cookies baked, packages ready to mail and such Santa like tasks!  Today, however, I got to stitch.  First I worked on the four borders some more.  Then it was time to give Stardust a face!  Love it when the face brings them to life!

Working the border

 Stardust is an 8 x 20 inch design on 18 count that has four borders.  I have set up the pattern for each one and have started across the top.

What's Next?!

Stardust by Leigh Designs design 5022 from the Showgirls series is going on the stretcher bars.  I have pulled threads, beads and sequins!  Time to get out the staple gun and put this 8 x 20 canvas started.

White Camellia framed

I picked this one up from the framer!  A cut out black linen mat with a filet next to it.  A white linen mat on top of that with a gold/silver filet net to the floral frame.

And the bells!

All of the bells are stitched in place!  The bells are from The Collection and they are the perfect sizes for
this piece.  I will get the stitch guide finished and she is on the way to Washington!

Braided hair

I used a blue black rayon to stitch and braid her hair which I haven't done in a long time!  Braid hair that is!

The finished base

All the silver bells are done!  On to the hair next!

Beads and base

I have beaded the front of the gown and started the base.  I designed a darning pattern for this and it will show up better when I get more done!

Fabulous Fur!

Even if I do say so myself!  LOL, it is all stitched, brushed and trimmed.

More trim

I am working the fur on the left side and am about half way done! 

On the left

The left side is stitched, cut and shaped a little bit.  I have covered her braid for now too.

Fur

Lots of progress.  I am cutting and brushing a bit, but only doing a little shaping at this point.

Turkey work

The cape cries out for fuzzy fur so I am doing turkey work.  I am fairly slow at this, but making progress.

Red Velvet

Every maiden deserves a red velvet cape!

Starting the Robe

I am working on the gorgeous robe and have finished the left sleeve, and am almost done with the right one!

I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!   I am off to celebrate with family and will be back to stitching tomorrow!

Snowflake Dress

 I finished the dress a bit differently than what was painted, but I like the shiny snowflakes!

I added beads to the headdress!

The background for the headdress is stitched and I worked more down the left side of the background!

Mixing it up

I did some more on the background but I have also started working on the Headdress!

More than half!

Backgrounds just take a lot of time, but I am getting there!  Calling this more than half way done.

Down to the face

Lots more background!  I have stitched over the bells and will add them in later.

I am working along on the background!  Made great progress today!  The dome shape is all done for the
background of the standup.

Starting in...........

Silver Bells is going to be a standup so she needs a background.  I have all the threads for that so I am going to do background for a few days.  I will watch for the mailman daily for some other threads too!

Silver Bells

Meet Silver Bells!  She is one of the eight  Winter Maidens by Leigh Designs!  She is a 6 inch design on 18 count and I am gathering threads to get this stand up started! You can see the entire series here:

Fini!

I added beads to all the stars and along the edges of the Milky Way.  Done!  Finished up the stitch guide as well!

The top right stars are counted out.  I have layer one done on all of them and layer two on some of them.

I added two shades of stars in the bottom left.....maybe needing some beads here.....

I finished the entire outside border, started across the bottom rectangle and worked more stars!

The next pattern

I extended the sides of the design and am working the next design area with another star type stitch with Silk Lame Braid.

Second Band

I worked the second band with Fyre Werks and did a star type stitch over the top using Planet Earth Silk.

From the top

I started this design  with a rectangle filled with an  Alternating Cashmere Variation that has a silver upright cross.  This is the first little twinkly star series in the piece.

In the background is the white 18 count canvas flecked with silver which is cut 10 x 12.  Here are some of the possible threads for what I am going to call Midnight Stars.

This is hanging on the wall to greet my Halloween guests!  Hope you have a fun, candy, laugh, costume filled Halloween!

Something new

A while back, I stitched this design called Mystic by Ruth Dilts.  It is all done in coppers, some gold and black for my sister.  She has asked for a companion piece to go with it.  I am pulling threads, some graph paper and my stitch books.   Let's see what I can come up with to fill that request!
