Green & Silver

More progress on the body in the silver and green stripes.  The silver on the body is all done and there is
a bit left down at the bottom for the design area on the legs.

Across the top

Time to do some more of the background.  I don't like to leave it all to the end!  I am across the top-almost-with all of the silk.  I still will come back and fill in the x's with the Silk Lame Braid.

Adding green

I finished all the silver basket weave and have started on the green rows!  Lots of stripes to go!

Background progress

Time to get a little bit of background done.  The section on the left has the Vineyard Silk and Silk Lame braid all done.  The section on the right is the Vineyard Silk only.

Peyton built a snowman in the backyard!  I see one of the eyes has fallen out....will have to go down and put it back!

More Silver

Next up is to work the green and silver area.  I have started working the silver from left to right in basket weave.

Quite the haul!

Friends and family know me well!  Christmas brought a plethora of stitching goodies!  A Rowallan stitching box to hold all my stitching tools, a turquoise laying tool, rhinestone scissors magnet by Mag Friends, a New Needlepoint now magnet and gift card, Ruth Schmuff's CD's 1 & 2 of stitches and Helen Stevens CD of One Simple Stitch!  Thanks to one and all and I am off to play!

Gold for the holidays!

I completed the pumpkin area with Vineyard Silk and gold Silk Lame Braid on the main part of the body.
It is Christmas Eve....hope everyone is ready!

Christmas Eve eve

The presents are all wrapped, the cooking is done!  I got to stitch today!  I filled in Julep's face and only have the checks to do....along with the whiskers!

Background

I started the background and am using more Vineyard Silk and Silk Lame Braid to work the pattern.  A bit of shine in a solid background for the pillow.

The silver border

The silver border is all done!    Now, I have lots of options.....work more on the face, his tail, his body and or start the background.....

Eyes!

I got to stitch some today!  Had a touch of the flu and was not up and about, but am now!  The eyes are all done and I even stitched some more of the left hand border.

Eyebrows

The eyebrows, nose and mouth are all stitched.  Eyes are next!

Forehead

I started his forehead and worked down to the eyebrows.  Then I finished the side bars on the right...Eyebrows and eyes are next!

Adding colors

I have worked the ears with colors like Grape, Sea Grass, and Hyacinth Violet....love all the colors!

Gold and silver

I finished all of the gold around the boxes in the middle first.  Then, I finished the rights side outer most
border in silver.  Love working with the things that everyone wants for Christmas!

Progress!

I worked more of the uprights across the bottom in Silver and then switched over to gold and am doing the squares in the orange section!

The threads are here!

The mail man brought my threads!  Woohoo!  Getting busy now!

Over the weekend

Since my threads were not here, we did ornaments!  Glass balls filled with sequins, beads, fluffy balls!

Just the borders

I did not even take a photo today!  I have the bottom border done and am working on the right side one next.  I am waiting for my threads to get here--they had to wait for one to come in, but I hope they are here by Saturday!  We shall see!  In the meantime, I will just keep working on borders--they all have to be stitched anyway, right?

This is a 12 square design on 18 count and will be finished into a pillow!  I have started the outside borders and am all the way across the top even though the photo only shows one side.

Champagne Corliss the II

She is all done!  I finished the tablecloth and then did the flowers on her hat with loops of River Silk!  She is now going to take a trip to the framer in NC!  Time to start the next adventure!

Necklaces!

I added the necklaces with some bicones and Japanese silver.  She is almost done!  I love how she is all blinged up!

Almost there!

I think this is about three fourths of the tablecloth!  I should have started doing some of this sooner! Sorry, it is a bit on an angle! I figure 4-5 more hours and it will be done!  It is looking good even if it takes a while!

Half

I am about half way across the tablecloth!  It is all done in basket weave!

Toasting Thanksgiving

Corliss has had more than her share of the Champagne as you can see by the empty bottle in the bucket!  Both are all stitched now using lots of Kreiniks and some Water n Ice.  Hope you and your friends and family have a great Turkey Day!

A sparkly jacket

The jacket is all done!  Boy does it sparkle!

I have started the jacket.  Neon Rays, Kreinik, Fyre Werks and Gold Rush cover all the colors!

Start a bit

I am moving right along on this and decided I best get some of the tablecloth done!  It is all across the
bottom of the canvas and looks like a brocade.  I am using Splendor to create the pattern.

And the lapels

So the camisole is done!  So are the lapels!  I am starting the jacket colors and have the black in.

The jacket is up next and I am stitching the lapels with Flair.  The left one is done and most of the right one.  I also added the dark brown line above her face next to her hair.

The camisole is all worked in Neon rays and I have the black all done and am working on the purple.  Almost done with it and you noticed I am covering up the necklace, right?

Hair and .........

Her hair is done and so is the cigarette, holder and smoke.  The brim and top of the hat are done too!  She is a fast gal and stitch!  BTW, the hair is a different stitch than I used on Corliss I.

Fun stuff

All of the skin, blush, lips, nails are done.  I also did the choker at her neck and her ring.

The Basics

I generally do all of the skin first and Corliss is no exception.  Her face, chest and arms are all done in Splendor and I have completed the lightest and medium values.  Just the dark tone to go!

Champagne Corliss, #2

Yes, I am stitching a second Champagne Corliss by Leigh Designs.  She is from the Floozies collections. A friend has asked for one.  I don't generally stitch the same thing  twice but I made an exception for her.  I will be changing just a couple of things from the first one I did and mostly following that stitch guide.  Will let you know what I change!

The Showgirl-Jubilee!

She is all done and ready to frame!  I am going to finish writing the stitch guide!

More Crystals

I have added Swarovski crystals to the body suit and headdress!  She has to sparkle!

The bracelets are all done in beads and crystals!

Dancin' Shoes from sequins and beads!  What else would they be?!

Brushed and Bordered!

All of the feathers are brushed and all four rows of border is done--all the way around!  Getting the beads next!

All of the feathers are stitched!  I am ready to start brushing them all out!

All of my stitching time was feathers!  I got a lot done but will have at least one more day on the rest of the feathers.

Big Progress

All of the skin is now done!  Yippee!  I then moved on and am working on the feathers on your right. I am getting anxious to get the bracelets and more embellishing done!
