He is all done!
I stitched the body of the bird in Knotted Stitch using 5 strands of the red Splendor. I also added the black eyes.....moving onto the snow and don't we just need that!!
aWho's a thunk that knotted stitch would do good feathers?! But it does. Makes nice dog fur, too. I used it for the Cape Cod Dogs piece. Versatile stitch.
Now, bring on the snow!
Jane, broiling in CH and it's gone to be even hotter tomorrow and hotter the next, etc.!

Looking good! I look forward to seeing the snow on your piece. I don't like the heat, but I dislike the snow more.
