Whoo'ten background

I have started the background and am doing a complimentary pattern for the background for the set of pumpkins.  I did have to order some threads for my plans but I will get as much done as I can until the threads come in.

Framing Up

Whoo'ten is by Leigh Designs, #5116 from the Pun-kins series.  It is a 10 in square design on 14 count.  I am going to frame this up and see what threads are going to work for what I want to do with it.  I am going to write a stitch guide for this piece while I am stitching it!

Stems

Progress on the stems!  Both of the bronze threads are shiny but don't show up so much.

Greenery

I stitched the vein on the leaf on the bottom right.  Next I added the tendrils on the right.
I started the stems at the top.  There are six threads in the stems!

The bottom leaf

The stitch guide called for this leaf to be stitched in Burden Stitch.  I began the leaf, studied it, and removed all of that.  I also changed one of the colors.  It is called personalizing a stitch guide to your own tastes.  Sorry, Robin.

Eyes

I did a close up of the eyes so you can see the shine.  They are done and I have started the cut out on the right.

The background is done

I have finished all of the background!  Hopefully you can see it!  I have started filling in the left eye.

Moving on

I finished step one over the entire canvas.  On the left side, I have started the row in between the curves to finish the pattern.  It is hard to see it, but it is there.

Finished!

The sunglass holder came back from Hilltop Finishing!  Ready to use in hubby's car.  He loves it!

I am getting over my cold so I will be back to regular stitching again.  Woohoo!

Background

I have started the background.  The right side is done and I am now compensating down the left side.  You can see the perle I am using to track the pattern on the left.  I find it easier to stitch through the other areas with something like perle so I don't lose the pattern rhythm.  I have put a piece of white fabric behind the canvas so you could see the design so far.

Down to the chin

Step one of the white is done down to the chin.  I need to add beads, but will do that later.

Day into Night, Framed

I picked up Day Into Night by Judy Souliotis from Cascade Framing this last week.  The frame is a silver and gold combination.  He was able to split the mats so there is gold and white on the sun and silver and black on the moon.  My sister received this at her birthday party yesterday so I could post it today!

Counting Sheep is finished!

Sue Parsons of West Coast Finishing did a wonderful job of finishing the Counting Sheep design!  It is a door hanger.  The back is  green silk and the white and green twisted cord is accessorized by the green and black bows at the top!  Great gift for the expected great nephew!
