Half way across

I have finished half of the table top.  Yes, I measured and am half way across.  Still have the rest of the hat to finish and I also realized I have not done the lips yet!  Oops!

The tabletop

I have started the tabletop and am working it all in basketweave with three strands of Splendor.  Bear with me, this will take a while!

Time for more bling!

I did the necklaces!  I started with Japanese silver and laid in the base of all the necklaces.  Then I added 2 mm crystals in pink and garnet followed by seed beads in lavender and silver lined clear.  No respecting Floozie goes out without multiple strands of beads!  Thanks for all the great comments and I am glad you are all enjoying her as much as I am!

Lapels

My original plan was to do the lapels in the Rya stitch.  I did a few rows and did not like it as I thought it was too busy for the rest of the jacket.  So I ripped that out and switched to Brick stitch.  It gives the lapel a different texture from the rest of the jacket and does not overwhelm it.  It is all worked in the same colors of Flair and Petite Frosty Rays as the hat.

Shine and shine

The jacket is finished!  This is very shiny and just the glitz that Corliss would wear on a night about town.  Next up are the lapels and then I can add her necklaces.  More bling!

Half a sleeve

I am working along the right sleeve. All basketweave takes a bit of time, but the shine with the fiber combinations is wonderful....sorry it does not show up well....been very overcast so the photos don't shine so much.

Starting the Jacket

I am starting on the jacket.  I am going to work it all in basketweave.  I am using Neon Rays Plus in black for the shadows and the some of the spots--the purple ones.  The blue drapes are Fyre Werks and the green spots are Krenik.  She is sporting some glitzy clothes!

Camisol

The Camisol is all done in the Mosaic stitch.  I did use a  blue purple to match the hat instead of the dark blue of the color of the canvas.  The shading is all done in black.

One bucket

The champagne bucket is all done in basketweave using Kreiniks.  I have moved over and am working on the camisol.  The dark shadow is black and the camisol itself is being done in purple and both are Neon Rays Plus with the mosaic stitch.  The shine does not show up well on either area but it is there!

Half way

I am working on the champagne bucket and am about half done.  The handle, bottle, and center band are dong and I am working on the bowl.  I am using all Kreinik and doing basketweave on the entire thing.

Not just....

First you will notice I did the hat using three colors of Splendor and doing the padded satin stitch over the basted down felt.  I used Fuzzy Stuff for the hat spikes or feathers at the top.  I did the shading line under her hair next to her face with 2 strands of Splendor and then I started the champagne bottle and bucket.  Beth, I am pretty sure she drank the whole bottle by herself....and yes, it is upside down in the bucket!  LOL

All over the place

First, I did a bullion stitch with Splendor to create a cigarette.  Next using Flair I stitched in some smoke and tacked it with Accentuate. Her champagne glass is done with Water and Ice and silver Kreinik.  Her black choker is done in Neon Rays and then beaded with gold and black beads.  Her ring is also done in gold beads with a single black bugle bead on top of it.  I then cut out the white felt to start the padded hat areas and basted them in!  Whew!

All of the skin and more

Corliss has all of the skin done!  I also did her fingernails with a backstitch or two of Kreinik #8.  Her cigarette holder is long stitches of Kreinik 005HL in #8 and the silver is done in 001.

Corliss and her curls

Corliss now has a full head of wavy curls!  I finished all of the Souffle stitch using the Crescent Colours and Splendor.  Then on started on the hand on your left.  Still lots of skin to get stitched in, but there will be bling....just not sure when!

Moving on

I completed the shading on Corliss's face and neck.  The I started her golden locks. I am using Crescent Colours in Crushed Pineapple, Splendor in white for her grey streak, and Splendor yellow for the tent stitches that complete the rest of  Souffle stitch that is her hair.

Doing skin

I have the neck and chest area all stitched except for a few stitches at the top right which are going to be a bit darker than the 900 on the left and needle blending I did on the right.  I am using three strands of Splendor on all the skin areas.

Here she is!

I have started Champagne Corliss!  I have worked her face, neck and started down her chest with three strands of Splendor.  I like to get the face and skin areas worked first so she can watch along with the rest of us!

Does this happen to you?

Does it?  I am going to start Champagne Corliss designed by Leigh and it is another one of the Floozies in her series of 8 canvas.  I started out by making my two copies, and then got so involved in threads, stitches, and all...Pretty soon I had this!  LOL  I will go and straighten this out, get this on the frame and get a little more organized!!  Thanks to Leigh for permission to blog stitch this piece!

Oh, and here is the link to the rest of these gals!  I luv them!

A very nice friend of mine gave me the Cresta d'Oro and I finished the letters OAD!  This piece is finished!
The canvas is by Stitch One's Ideas with the stitch guide by Ruth Schmuff of Bedecked and Bedazzled!  As far as I know she is still selling the canvas and the stitch guides.

Top of the shoes!

I went ahead and did the top of the shoes with the ribbon!  What fun!  The very top row has a few more of the orange beads on it.  All done but the oad!  LOL

And, then....

I finished all of the green Nobuku on the bottom border, and just ran out of the Cresta d'Oro for the word Toad.  It will be here in a day or two, not to worry!  So I moved up and did the top of the bottom border using the orange Very Velvet and Tila beads.

Compensating

Here is the progress for today.  All and OT are also stitched, and you can see how I am working
across the border.  There is a lot of compensating due to all the letters, but it is worth it.  The frog is smiling at my progress for today!

Sheena, the next project is going to be Champagne Corliss!  I had the canvas on here a while ago, but am going to finish this before I get started.  She is waiting patiently on the work table and I have been pulling threads and looking at stitches.
