Splendor
8 yards 12 ply

On Special!

$2.49 through 30 June!
No Limit!

Here’s a gift from Come to the Point to kick your Summer Stitching into high gear. Come in and stock up!

The following is from the Rainbow Gallery website:

Splendor is a 12-ply silk floss with an unusual construction. It has three bundles of four strands each. It is easiest if you pull the bundles out first and then take out each strand. The twist of each individual strand is tighter than most silks. This makes Splendor easier to use. It will not snag on all but the roughest hands. Be careful to ply and lay the silk to keep the nice shine. This silk is perfect for people who have been afraid of silks. Many of the usual problems experienced with silk will not occur with Splendor. Anyone that stitches with cotton floss will have no problem with it. Six strands on 14 count, 4 strands on 18 count, 2 strands on Congress Cloth.

This thread is NOT on closeout!

Keeping you in stitches,

Michelle

Final Box

The final box is a plaited diamond pattern that starts with Fyre Werks in the Center, then Neon Rays.  In between the Neon Rays, I laid in Kreinik and then top all of that with metallic.  Beads are added on the corners.

Third box

The third box is worked with a square stitched in the center with 4 shades of floss.  Then Double Fan stitches are worked around the piece

Second Box

The Second Box started with a Rhodes stitch in the center with Neon Rays.  Then  a cross stitch over one is worked around the square.  An elongated cross stitch in metallic is over the top of those.  Last two different colors of Kreinik create the diamonds with  modified Jessicas over the top!

I finished the first pattern in the boxes across the center panel.  Several center diamonds in various threads, then a gold overlay, followed by two Crescents in Kreinik and finally some beads!
