Starting the snow
Well, I don't think any of us want snow, but it sure is hot and humid everywhere! Working on the snow on the bottom leaves was a bit refreshing just looking at the white Frosty Rays 217. I am using the Nobuko stitch and doing a lot of compensating to fit the shapes. I did one snowflake to the left of the pedestal in a square Rhodes, but am not sure I like it.

Looks good! Wonder what it would look like if you added a few lengths of white thread sticking out from the corners of the Rhodes you stitched to make it more star like?
Or stick a bead in each corner, then stick a thread out from that.
Gorgeous...
Square snow flakes, you might start a trend!
I say go with the flow and make them square with a blingy thread! The design is out of the box as are square snowflakes. Just my thoughts. But of course you must be comfortable with the choice you make.
HAve you thought about using a waffle stitch for the snow? It is square, but has the lines and texture.
