Bottom butterfly wing

I finished the padded satin stitch tonight and then added the white seed stitches around the outside edge. This piece will now be set aside until another lesson to fill in the outline stitched areas. Tomorrow night I start the larger wing section on the right hand side.

Fascinating. Now I'm beginning to see why you couldn't cheat and do the bee's wings. I'm totally ignorant of this process. This is going to be beautiful.

Yes, stumpwork has to be done in a certain order. When it's from a class, it's even more important to follow the directions in the right order. Maybe next time Pat can cheat but I bet most stumpwork really does need to be done in A-B-C order.

Too bad, really. Like Judy I love jumping around!

I am anxious to see what you are doing-I guess maybe you are to have these pieces rise above the piece??! The ladybug is a keeper-she adds alot to it.
