Something New!
In the July/August 2015 issue of Needlepoint Now, page 54, there was an article about Silk Mill. I love stitching with silk! I decided to order a packet. The website is www.thesilkmill.com and is very easy to navigate. There are themed color sets, colour shade sets and more. I decided on the Fade to Black colour shade set. I placed my order online, and it arrived from France in 10 days! The top photo shows the package inside the mailer. Upon opening it, there is a sheet (bottom) that talks about the business. The other sheet (top) is a hand signed note listing the link to the website, the link to a conversion chart for DMC to Silk Millk Silk and also included a complimentary container of Thread Heaven and explains it makes working with silk easier. They do specials in their newsletters and on their Facbeook page too. The soft texture matches the glorious colors! I can hardly wait to use these in a project and will let you know what I think when I do.....

I've seen this company and have been very tempted!
stay tuned to see how it goes!
Pat, how does the thread weight compare to Soie d'Alger? It looks very yummy, i also love to stitch with silks :)
Soie d Alger is a tiny bit heavier....this is so soft and shiny....almost a rayon shine to it.
