Starting the background
White Marlitt for the background stitch. Although there is a lot of counting and compensating, it moves fairly quickly.

I am impressed. Marlitt hates me. My background is also proceeding at a snail's pace.
I could have used Perle 8 but when for the extra sheen. I am glad it does not hate me! LOL
