Here is the overall shot of the finished piece! I am real pleased with how this finished.
The top two patterns on the last row went fast. The hearts were stitched with two strands of silk and then the center crossed cross stitches were done in the Madiera. Candlelight was laid in between the rows and then a sheaf stitch holds it done and the sheaves are tacked down with more Madiera. The same silk is sued to create the fade out design with double wrapped French knots in the centers!
I was putting everything back together, in order, and realize I have lost my instruction sheet for the far right column! Argh! Not happy but if you have a copy of the July/August 2001 Needlepoint Now magazine, would you send me an email! Thanks!

I am gloating over the photos as I type. Lovely! I have the magazine you need. Just tell me exactly what you want and I'll get a scan off to you to replace what is missing.
I can´t believe how wonderful and fine this looks. It looks noble and elegant, I wish I could do that too.

As usual, another masterpiece (this time I can;t wait until you post it on Stitcherie). I love this one but then I am biased towards pastels and this one came close to my heart. Well done
Lovely! Simply elegant.
Wonderful! It's always great to finish a big project, but when it's an especially enjoyable one it's almost sort of sad too-- I'll miss seeing this on your blog. Will you be doing the companion piece to this one too?
Great job! Glad Jane has the one you need. I might, but I have no idea where it would be!
Pat, I love your piece. Do you know which magazines the patterns are in? I looked at the site and found the 1st, 2nd and 4th installment but I couldn't find the 3rd installment.
