Out of sequence
I skipped Patch 7 and moved onto # 8 and finished all four of them. They are the medium blue violet Soie D Alger. They consist of a long vertical stitch and couched back over them at 2 canvas thread intersections creating am S pattern and leaving the blank canvas showing as part of the pattern. I also started Patch #9 which are done in a medium gray blue in a fan type stitch and completed the one area closest to the trees on the right.

It looks beautiful! I've always wanted to stitch this piece. If you ever come across another kit, let me know! Thanks!
Another great piece of stitching, I love the colours you are using.
Thanks! Goldy, I will let you know if one shows up!
Gosh, all of a sudden the patchwork coat seems almost done. Did you skip the 7 sections for a reason? Or a whim?
I am eagerly awaiting the bird and trees and of course her face and hair.
An all time classic piece - very pretty Pat! Glad you chose this piece to work on, I've always wanted to see it worked up.
I skipped 7 because I did not like the color of SDA that was called for and am changing it out for another color.
