A full coat

Now that Otto is fully coated, he is much happier and a lot warmer since the temperatures are down in the twenties here in the mountains.  He was also a tad upset this morning during the snow flurries, but they have subsided and with his full coat he has returned to his happy disposition.  The last of the mountains under his chin are also completed and there are just a few odds and ends to finish up.  Anne asked about the background.  In her piece Ms. Portra did a four way continental in a matching DMC floss.  I am choosing not to do that on this piece.  I will finish this piece tomorrow night!

Each time I see your progress with Otto, I full expect him to lift his head off the canvas, twist his neck towards me and begin speaking. This has been a fun canvas to follow.

He is wonderful!

I am deeply envious of the person you are making Otto for. But I would also feel deeply humble if someone gave me such a gift ..... all the work you've put into him.

It's such a long time since I thought of temperature in fahrenheit that I had to do a conversion to centigrade to see what your weather is like :) You're a bit colder than me here in the UK ..... but at least Otto has a permanent woolly coat to keep him warm :)

He looks great, doesn't he? I am curious about the finishing touches but we'll have to wait to find out what those are.

Otto is soooo gorgeous and wonderful! He just looks so real! What a great job you have done with this piece. I love the very simple background you have chosen too.

Every one loves Otto and so do I. I have enjoyed seeing that wild old rascal turn into a proper gentleman. That fine wool coat fits him well.

Wonderful piece.
