The center petal and....

I worked on the front poppy, center petal tonight using the single strands of either the peach Splendor or overdyed silk and got most of it done.  Carol Sylvester sent me a photo of her piece which she has completed and has ready to send in for the critique by Pat Van Cleve......Isn't it lovely?  She used different colors working from her stash for fibers and her fabric.  Congratulations Carol for completing it!

They are both lovely.

Both of you have done such fantastic stitching and I can't decide which colour version I like best ..... both look terrific!

Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing your work in 2011 :)

It is wonderful to see the two color variations of the poppy piece. Thanks, Pat. I don't know which I like best as they are both lovely. But seeing both enables me to see how the stitches are done better as I can compare the two colorways and really see how the stitches are laid. When there was only one example, I didn't see that.

Funny, but interesting how my mind works!
