Darning along

Tonight I completed the bottom left segment darning in diagonal rows of Perle Cotton and #8 Kreinik. Then I started the top right section working in vertical rows for the white Perle Cotton and not quite completing the diagonal rows of # 8 Kreinik. The speckled canvas adds even more shine to this piece and this is very striking.

I can see the sparkles in the photo. This is probably very striking in person. I never paid much attention to monochromatic pieces until I started watching you stitch them, Pat. They are really elegant and striking despite the lack of color to add drama. Never would have thought that possible, so thanks for opening my eyes.

I love monochromatic every time I see it; I often forget to go that route however when choosing a colorway. It's always dramatic no matter what color is chosen. I really like the sparkly speckled canvas too.

I love doing monochromatic geometrics! For some reason, I can zip right along and I can't wait to get to each new section!
