In the meantime, I also pondering the blue background on the roses and tassel piece. I am going to repaint the canvas another shade darker so I can use my navy fibers and get moving on that background. Having set it aside for a day and mulling it over, I have made that decision. If I have time I will start painting it tomorrow night. If not, who knows what will be here tomorrow! LOL

You are making good progress on this little piece. I like having something simple to do when I hit a stitching roadblock, something mindless that helps me make up my mind about something intricate.
I bet your roses and tassel background will be spectacular. No need to rush it until you are certain.
Thanks, Jane....I had to decide if I wanted to repaint or change fibers again....and I already have all the navy!!
