Sally's Diamonds

Sally's Diamonds is the August stitch of the month. I first put in three strands of Splendor in 802 which is the filler for the diamond. Then, I used #8 Kreinik in 3202 to create the outside of each diamond. It is a fairly heavy stitch but will be offset in the next areas. Next up is the July stitch which covers from the top left clear to the bottom right.

Again, quite lovely. How are you doing with the black canvas? I will be starting a piece on black canvas and I'm a little apprehensive in that it might be a struggle to see well enough. It doesn't appear you're having any trouble.

The stitch doesn't look too heavy to me, but then my version of Glittering Kimono is on congress cloth, which meant I'm using fewer plies and smaller metallic threads than Tony M. did. Still, in your photo it looks good!

hummmm, might have to borrow your magic camera that makes everything look good....

Working on black is not difficult while using lighting. If you have trouble, you can put a white towel, cloth, etc on your lap to see the holes better. My frame sit against a tan carpet background so I can see fine.
