The reveal
We had the party last night, and now you can see the piece I gave as the birthday present. It is the Dragonfly Sampler by The Victoria Sampler. It is a combination piece with Hardanger, Stumpwork and Silk Ribbon. Only the wings of the dragonfly are done in stumpwork. The flowers on the top right are done in silk ribbon. The rest is Hardanger and a little decorative stitches in the bottom left. She loved it!

This is just absolutely beautiful!! I love it when you do this kind of work.
How lovely and delicate, Pat! How will this be used?
Beautiful! I hope it went into the lid of one of your fabulous boxes. It would make a wonderful jewelry box, wouldn't it?
Lucky birthday girl!
I should have said....I put it in a frame for the wall instead of a box top this time. She has a collection of dragonflies in the bathroom and it will probably go there.
