Hither and yon

I have added the north Fleur-de-lis, after I worked more of the outside border. The east to south one is completely finished and I also started the north to west one, but ran out of the Medici. I left the other hank of it at home on the stitching stand. So, I started filling in the outside border at the top with the Needle Necessities overdyed. This is done with a running stitch, first in one direction and then coming back and crossing it with a second thread in the other direction. So I am stitching here and there because I did not double check the project bag, but at least I did get quite a bit more of this worked--just not in the order the stitch guide suggested.

Now I get it-a fleur de lis in each corner! This probably is lovely in person, Pat. Wish I could see it better. I suppose you'll just have to loan it to me.

Jane, sticking out her tongue at Judy cause I yelled dibs! first LOL

Tell Jane she is a late-comer. We already discussed this a long time ago - that the iris in this color is my favorite flower, etc. etc. The needlework is beautiful.

Pat,

You are almost done with this project and it looks so great.

Love irises, they are just so pretty :-)

Hi Pat,

Don't you just hate it when you forget some of the threads for a project? Argh!!!

Well at least you are still making progress and it will work.

By the way, I love doing padded Gobelin stitches for an outline.

Hope you are having a wonderful time at the wedding and staying dry. Major thunderstorms through the mid-Atlantic again tonight and are forecast for tomorrow.
