The bordered underskirt

Adding the border on the underskirt was a bit of indecision for me. I could not quite tell the direction I was to follow for the top, so as always, I did what I thought looked the best. I started with the Kreinik gold and worked oblong cross stitches vertically at the bottom of the underskirt. Then I worked horizontal stitches across the top of it. Then I outlined the entire thing, again using the gold. Last, I put in upright cross stitches to fill in the X created by the oblong cross stitches. This is one classy angel!

I think it is hard to do this slightly sloping areas with an upright stitch like this but you are doing a beautiful job.

This angel looks spectacular!

It was my favorite the first time I looked at the photos but now that I have done three, it will be very hard to pick a favorite as Kandy did such wonderful things with them all.

It may be my eyes and looking at the angel on the screen, but is it possible to put some delineation between the white of the underskirt and the background...they seem to run together (to me at least).
