Octagon 33

This is the piece that I finished while traveling. I bought a wooden box at Michael's and spray painted it with metallic gold, inside and out. Next I cut a piece of cardboard, quilt batting, and gold lame the size of the top. Layering those with the canvas on top, I wrapped them all to the back. I then glued this piece to the box and trimmed it with the gold gimp.
Tomorrow, I will post progress on Morning Luv!

The gold lame really finishes it off nicely, showing through the canvas. Nice touch! the colors are awfully pretty.

Cool idea!

I love that you covered the entire top so that no edges show through.

I'm going to have to try that.

Keep Stitching,

This makes a great present! Was it difficult to turn under the edges of the NP canvas?

It was easy to fold the edges of the canvas back and I "finger pressed" them to keep them in place before gluing. The hardest part is getting it to fit up to the edges of the box itself. When all else fails, glue the gimp to cover the spots! LOL
