The next color is in

Jane suggested that I twist some of the thicker strands to keep the Appleton from apprearing fuzzy. Some of the Appleton is thicker and thinner, and I had not thought to twist it a tad. In person it is not really fuzzy, but I will implement that suggestion for the strands that are like that. Thanks, Jane!J

Judy--you will have to be patient as the wings are a lot later....still lots to do!

I did finish the next color of the green Appleton! It has been a very busy weekend, so I did not get as much done as I thought I would, and tomorrow I will start the medium greens.

Re: the wings: couldn't you cheat? Not even needlework instructions are carved in stone. I want to see wings on that bee and how you do them.

Judy, bet the wings go on top of leaves that have to be stitched first. It looks likely to me from the current picture.

Stop encouraging Pat to skip around! She'll get in trouble with the designer!

LOL

Seriously, if I were doing this piece I would stick to the order in the plan as there may good reason in the order. This is stumpwork, after all, and I wouldn't feel confident enough to jump around personally.

By the way, Pat, my emails to you bounce no matter which address I use. AOL must have changed its filters again. They are notorious when it comes to blocking legitimate emails.
