More Glitz

Today I added the silver Kreinik in the spaces between the Hesitation stitches on the bodice and down through the rows I have stitched.  On the left side, I have added Silk Lame Braid in the silver painted areas.

The Gown

My thread to finish the stole should be here today or tomorrow so I am going to work on the gown until it gets here. I am using two shades of Neon Rays and laying this stitch.  The shine is perfect!

First, the hair

I am starting from the top and have done Kitty's hair in a bargello pattern using Gloriana silk and Kreinik blending filament......the debate is raging....is she Jean Harlow  or Marilyn Monroe?

Miss Kitty

I just put  Kitty on the 12 x 22 stretcher bars!  Isn't she fabulous?  She is by Leigh Designs and is one in the series of Femme Fatales and the painted size is 8 x 18 on 18 count.  I am busy pulling theads and auditioning stitches but she will be in progress soon!  You can see all 8 of these beautiful women at:

http://www.leighdesigns.com/Grp504x.html

The home page of Leigh designs says:  "It was the era of “Booze, Bands and Broads”. Tbe booze was the martini, the bands were big and the broads were Femme Fatales! Ring-a-ding-ding !!!"

So, I think she is going to be razzy, jazzy,  and have her fair share of bling!

Thanks to Leigh Designs for permission to blog stitch this gal!

All stitched!

I finished the other side of the Christmas ornament 2012.  Remember, I have taken two of the motifs from the pattern by Threedles and stitched those in the extra canvas space.  When I am ready to start finishing, this one will be a two sided ornament.

A red variation

A while back, I stitched the Christmas ornament 2012 by Threedles.  You can see a bit of it at the top of the red and silver  piece here.  There is enough canvas at the top and bottome to stitch two more squares of the patterns.  I am going to make this into a two sided  ornament  and use up more of the canvas before finishing the cube.  I am using red Splendor and silver Kreinik to create this one.

Done!

The stitching is all done on the Pansies!  I am going to put this in a box top.

Little by little

The two side petals of the front pansy are done.  These only use five shades of the floss.  Yesterday's petal really did have six colors and one white in it!  These went faster as I was not changing the thread in the needle so ofen.

Sunday, March 10, 2013

The back petal

I got back to stitching and got the back petal of the front pansy done.  There are 7 colors of floss in this petal!  You notice I did not do the face on the white one?  I am going to do both of the centers at the same time when I finish this one.

All but the face

I finished the rest of the white petals on pansy #2 and have just the face to finish on this one.

The last beads

A Different view is done!  All of the crystals and beads are in and I also finished the eyelet stitches.  I tried several shots to get the beads and all to show up, but they just don't want to.  Double click on the photo and it does get a little bigger so you can see some!  Sorry!

Crystals, bugles and

I have started attaching blue, green, fuschia and amethyst crystals around the outside border  and blue Mill Hill beads in the 8 pointed stars.  Crystals are attached in the top and left Octagon along with the blue Mill Hills and on the top one...some white bugle beads.  About half done!

There!

All of the stitching is done......except for that bit on three where I ran out of fiber....any way....I finished all the Kreiniks, Patina, and Sparkle Braid in the fourth one and did both of the bottom two pattern boxes.  One is done with Pebbly Perle and Bijoux and the other is done with Patina, Bijoux and Kreinik.  On to the crystals and beads!

Octagon 4

I finished all of the Crescents around the center with the Kreinik and then added eyelet stitches with Pebbly Perle.....the Crescents took a long time and a lot of thread but are gorgeous!

Moving on

All of Octagon 3 is complete except for 4 eyelet stitches around the outside--see the blank space?  I ran out of fiber and will be getting that soon.  So I started on the bottom Octagon.  I did the center with Frosty Rays and an Amadeus variation and overlaid that with purple Kreinik.  I have started the red heart designs that will go around the outside of the center box.
